1. Ben Ayade

Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade is a 54-year-old Nigerian politician currently serving as the executive governor of Cross River State since 2015. He ran successfully for the office of governor that year on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and was re-elected as the governor of Cross River State in the 2019 gubernatorial elections.

Prior to this position, Ayade worked as a lecturer at Delta State University, Abraka, where he was appointed professor.

2. Mojeed Alabi

Mojeed Olujinmi Alabi is a Nigeria politician, lawyer, and lecturer. A holder of a bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in each of political science and law, he was a Member of the House of Representatives to represent Ede Federal constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

However, before joining politics, Alabi was lecturing in the department of political science, Obafemi Awolowo University.

3. Okezie Ikpeazu

Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is a 57-year-old Nigerian politician presently serving as the ninth Governor of Abia State since 2015.

However, before joining politics, Ikpeazu served as a lecturer in several Nigerian educational institutions.

4. Soji Adejumo

David Olusoji Adejumo is a Nigerian politician and professor of animal physiology.

A former Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Adejumo started his academic career as a lecturer in the department of Animal Science at the University of Ibadan. He rose to the position of Senior Lecturer thirty one years ago and later attained the rank of a Professor seventeen years ago.

5. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is a 72-year-old Nigerian politician currently serving as the executive Governor of Kano State since 2015. However, he previously served twice as deputy governor to Rabiu Kwankwaso.

From 1976 to 1978, Ganduje worked as a lecturer at Advanced Teachers College, Gumel, Jigawa State.

6. Goodluck Jonathan

Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is a 64-year-old Nigerian politician who previously served as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010 under the civilian administration of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and as Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007.

However, before joining politics twenty four years ago, Jonathan worked as a lecturer.

7. Lauretta Onochie

Lauretta Onochie is a 66-year-old Nigerian educationist, pastor, and politician currently serving as President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on social media since 2016.
