
Crude oil is one of the natural resources God used to bless Nigeria. According to some reports, Nigeria generates over 2.5 million barrels of crude oil daily which makes it the highest producing oil in Africa, and the 6th highest producing oil in the world.
There are thirty-six states in Nigeria but in this article, we will discuss the nine oil-producing states in Nigeria.
Here they are.
1. Akwa Ibom State.
Akwa Ibom State is the highest oil-producing state in Nigeria with about 31.4% quantity of oil produced daily.
2. Delta State.
Delta State is the second-biggest oil-producing state in Nigeria with about 21.56% total amount of oil produced daily.
3. Rivers State.
Rivers State was the highest oil-producing state in Nigeria before Akwa Ibom took over. Presently Rivers State is the third-largest oil-producing state with about 21.43% quantity of oil produced daily.
4. Bayelsa State.
Bayelsa State is one of the oil-producing states in Nigeria with an 18.07% amount of oil produced every day.
5. Ondo State.
Ondo State is the fifth oil-producing state in Nigeria that generates 3.74% amount of oil every day.
6. Edo State.
Edo state is among the highest oil-producing states in Nigeria that generate 2.06% quantity of oil daily.
7. Imo State.
Imo State is one of the states in Nigeria God bless with crude oil. According to reports, The State produces 1.06% amount of oil daily.
8. Abia State.
Abia State is the eighth lucky oil-producing state in Nigeria with about 0.68% quantity of oil produced every day.
