ABOUT THE FIRST SON OR FIRST CHILD
Some people keep wondering why second son or younger siblings are usually greater or richer than the first son, or maybe younger siblings are doing well in their businesses and works while the first son is lacking behind.
The reason is because according to tradition, I mean olden days when a son or first son is born, he is to be presented to the Gods of the land with a necessary sacrifice perform on his behalf by his parents in order to clear the way of success for him.
But most parents failed to fulfill this sacrifice thereby blocking the way of success for the first son. Maybe because of lack of finance or because church tagged it evil. And even church do encourage first fruit offerings when a first son is born. Then why tag it evil when it’s done in traditional way?
*First son or child is to be taking to Ngwu (village or compound deity), Anyawu and the village River with a sacrifice as a dedication to clear the ways of the child.*
The child life will be looked into to know what his future holds by the chief priest, so that if there any necessary appeasement to perform on the child for his ways to be open the chief priest will notify the parents.
Some villages in Africa, mostly Igbo land have sacrifice they carryout when a first son is born, but when this sacrifice is being neglected, the first son suffers problems, rising and falling, financial setbacks, abnormality, drunkenness and so on.
Go into so many families you will realize that the first son is struggling to survive, yet the more he tries the more he fails. Some first sons usually depends on their younger ones for survival, while some first sons are completely useless and empty, and this make people or even his younger ones look down on him.
Someone will ask why a sacrifice should be performed on the first son?
First son stands as the head apart from the father, he is the one that open the door for younger siblings to come in as the first fruit, he stand in the gap when parents are no more, he has a great task to perform as the pillar of the family, and every responsibilities of the family lies on him.
Nothing can be done in a family if the first son is not present and in agreement with his younger ones unless he is dead.
If you are the first son of your family and your other siblings are doing well than you, please ask your parents (if they are still alive), if they truly did the needful by making the necessary sacrifices and appeasement they are supposed to do when you were a baby or a child, and if the answer is no, then you have to liberate your self.
