Getting adequate shut-eye is crucial to your health, and that much should go without saying. However, it could be unhealthy to sleep too little. When you lay your head down for the night, a lot of bad things can happen to you. Some people sleep through life-threatening situations because the risk is just too big. According to a Greek adage, death and slumber go hand in hand.
Do you know that your brain maintains control of your body, including dreaming, even while you’re asleep?
Sleep-related causes of death include the following.
1) Cardiac arrest
Sudden cardiac arrest has been linked to injury to the sinoatrial node, which acts as a natural peacemaker in the body.
In other words, the issue arises when the heart’s electrical circuitry malfunctions, and it can be fatal in as little as two minutes.
What causes death, exactly? The result is a reduction in the rate at which blood is pumped to the brain. Half the time, cardiac arrest strikes with little warning, and it might even occur while you’re fast asleep.
2.Being ill from exposure to carbon monoxide
Carbon monoxide, also written as CO, is a gas that is odourless, colourless, and lethal in high concentrations.
Cooking with gas releases CO into the air, as does heating with a fireplace or furnace.
What causes death, exactly? If even a little bit of it accumulates in a relatively small area, it can become unhealthy to breathe. The individual may experience a lack of energy, dizziness, and headaches. It could be fatal to wander off when you’re sleeping.
3. Apnea
Central sleep apnea causes frequent pauses and restarts in breathing throughout the night. It occurs when the brain delivers an incorrect signal to the muscles controlling respiration during sleep. The brain stem is generally considered to be at fault.
Why does it end in death? When suffering from apnea, your oxygen levels dip dangerously low. This causes hypoxia, or an inadequate supply of oxygen……S££ MOR£
