The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.” (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition.)

According to the Bible passage above, ” the Lord will fight for you” means that you should have confidence, hope, faith, and trust in the Lord to fight your battles for you, and avenge you, and as well deliver you from the enemies that hate you and are stronger than you (Psalm 18:17,47). Also, because the scripture says “the Lord”, it refers to Jesus Christ who according to Philippians 2:11 and Matthew 28:18, is Lord and all power in heaven and earth has been given unto him. Therefore, he has every resource, wisdom, knowledge, and power to fight for you.

Also, from Exodus 14:14 given above, ” and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest” means that you don’t need to do anything, it’s the Lord that will fight on your behalf, and you just need to be at rest because Isaiah 30:15 says by returning to God and being at rest (trusting and believing him to fight for you), you will be saved, and your strength will be in quietness and confidence.

So, as Children of God, when enemies arise to harm you, or someone slaps you on one cheek, or take your cloak and even compel you to go a mile just to deal with you because he or she hates you, remember Matthew 5:39-41 and Exodus 14:14, don’t resist evil but trust in the Lord to fight for you…..S££ MOR£
