Some hours ago Wambui Wa Mwangi interviewed a Kenyan lady, who talked about her life in serving God while at the same time working as a bar attendant. Her name is Jemimah Muli who was born and raised in Machakos county. She is a born again Christian, and an upcoming Kikuyu gospel musician. She made it clear that she is a born again Christian and she respects God very much.
She said that she has been working as a bar attendant which has been a challenge to her and her relationship with God. She sent a warning message to young girls and women, asking them to never think of working in a club because it’s not a good job at all. She was married in Nyeri, but around 2010 she parted ways with her husband and she already had five children. She was later employed in a hotel which has a club on top.
One day the manager of the hotel asked her to work as a casual worker in the club where she was promised a good pay. As a result of life challenges she immediately accepted though confused. She felt like she was doing something wrong, but she had no otherwise. She made it clear that working in a club has a lot of challenges because dealing with drunk men is not easy. The main reason she works there is because her children are in secondary school and they must go to school.
People are always judging her because of the job but her intentions are always right when working there. She said that she believes that very soon she will get another job. The church is becoming challenge her, because church people are always judging her. She came to the interview to warn young girls and women to avoid that Job, because it always degrade their value as women. She made it clear that Incase she gets another job, she can be very happy and leave the club job….S££ MOR£
