For Barcelona and Super Falcons forward, Asisat Lamina Oshoala, she surely understands what it means to move from a state of want to a state of having plenty

She started on the streets of Lagos. She started playing for FC Robo of Lagos at a young age, then she moved to Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt

She was selected to play at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and there, she became a star. Oshoala’s pace and class was above all as she scored 7 goals and was also awarded the player of the tournament. Though Nigeria lost the final to Germany in extra time, she won the golden boot and most valuable player award

Same year, she was second top scorer at the African Women’s Cup of Nations and also won the tournament with Nigeria

She also became the first person to win the BBC World Women’s Footballer of the Year. She has gone ahead to play for Liverpool and Arsenal and then, Dalian Quanjin in China before her move to Barcelona
