Most Contracts Executed By Igbos In Nigeria Are Bought From Awardees—iwuanyanwu Says

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has emphasized the need for hard work among the Igbo community to succeed in Nigeria.

In a report by The Sun, Iwuanyanwu alleged that that many Igbos secure contracts by purchasing them from original awardees. He also discussed the political landscape, highlighting the agreed-upon rotation of the Nigerian Presidency between the North and the South. He said despite the expectation that it was the Igbo’s turn during the last election, an Igbo president did not emerge.

Iwuanyanwu also expressed gratitude to Nigerians who supported Mr. Peter Obi, an Igbo candidate, during the election. He mentioned notable leaders such as Chief Dr. Edwin Clark, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and Dr. Bitrus Pogu and thanked them for their courage in endorsing an Igbo candidate.
